AFA Enews 3 Vol. 1, No. 1 |

(Continued from page 2) The same goes for the AFA. Your franchisor’s management may come and go. Your contract may be up for renewal next year. You may shudder when your field rep says, “I’m here to help you.” But the AFA is always here for you and has been working on your behalf since 1993. The AFA keeps you informed. The AFA keeps you in touch. Through the AFA you can save money (see our current list of vendors on page 7). The AFA provides one united voice for franchisees to the press, to the government and to the public. In 2004 the AFA will be rolling out a group health insurance program for franchisees. But each of your franchised locations needs to be a member of the AFA to get the new low rates for yourself and your employees. Membership is not expensive. Dues are just $100 per franchised location. That works out to $1.92 a week. Please don’t tell me you can’t afford $1.92 a week. It gets less expensive if your independent association joins the AFA. Then dues are just $25 per franchised location for everyone in the group (minimum $2,500). That works out to 48 cents a week. I don’t know what you can buy for 48 cents any more. Forty-eight cents a week ensures that you’re informed, you receive savings on products and services and that your watchdog – the AFA – is telling your story on Capitol Hill, in state legislatures, by the media and the public. So, if you haven’t yet joined or renewed your dues to the AFA do so today. Call us (312-431-0545) to join with your credit card or go to our website ( www.franchisee.org) and use the Membership Form there. We look forward to hearing from you soon. |
